Realtime visuals made with Unreal Engine for the Minty Boi Elf Rave.
We took live motion capture of an improvisational dance performance by our choreographer, Madeline Riley, and implemented it into a real-time setup inside of UE5. Team Lead Daniel Magosing set up several generative and live midi-controlled animation blueprints for use in the live performance. Additional particles, lighting, and shader effects were scripted by Mangosing and myself. Additional motion capture assets in the scene not performed by Madaline were recorded by myself and Henry using a combination of Kinect and the Rokoko Smartsuit.
My core responsibilities on this project were character design, rigging, and motion capture retargeting.
